വാഴക്കാട് : വാഴക്കാട് ഗവൺമെൻ്റ് ഹയർ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂളിലെ എൻ.സി.സി കേഡറ്റായ നവനീത്. എൻ (9 M) തൽ സൈനിക് ക്യാമ്പിന്റെ (TSC) ദേശീയതല മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാൻ യോഗ്യത നേടി. ബറ്റാലിയൻ – ജില്ലാ – സംസ്ഥാനതല മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ റൈഫിൾ ഷൂട്ടിംഗിൽ 70 ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി നടന്ന ഏഴു ക്യാമ്പുകളിൽ നൂറോളം കേഡറ്റുകളോട് മത്സരിച്ചാണ് സ്നാപ്പ് ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് എന്ന പ്രയാസകരമായ ഇനത്തിൽ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ചവച്ച് കേരളത്തെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് ഡൽഹിയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ദേശീയ ഫൈനൽ മത്സരത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാൻ അർഹത നേടിയത്.ഹൈസ്കൂൾ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ മലബാറിൽ നിന്നും യോഗ്യത നേടിയ ഏക NCC കേഡറ്റായ നവനീത്. എൻ ഒമ്പതാം ക്ലാസ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയാണ്. വഴക്കാട് ഹൈസ്കൂളിൽ നിന്നും ഈ ചരിത്ര നേട്ടം കൈവരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ NCC കേഡറ്റ് കൂടിയാണ് നവനീത്.ഏതാനും വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് അഭിലാ കൃഷ്ണ എന്ന കേഡറ്റും ഈ നേട്ടം കൈവരിച്ചിരുന്നു.അനന്തായൂർ ചോലയിൽ വീട്ടിൽ സുരേഷ് കുമാറിന്റെയും, ലിസിയുടെയും മകനാണ് നവനീത്. സഹോദരി നിവേദ്യ നേരത്തെ സ്കൂളിലെ എൻ.സി.സി കേഡറ്റായിരുന്നു.

Vazhakkad rises through Navaneeth at the National Thal Sainik Camp finals held in Delhi
Vazhakkad: Navaneeth N. (Class 9 M), an NCC cadet from Vazhakkad Government Higher Secondary School, has qualified to participate in the national-level competitions of the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC).
After competing in battalion, district, and state-level competitions over a span of 70 days across seven camps, he secured his place by delivering an outstanding performance in the challenging event of snap shooting in rifle shooting, emerging among hundreds of cadets. Representing Kerala, he has now earned the opportunity to compete in the national finals to be held in Delhi.
Navaneeth N., a ninth-grade student, is the only NCC cadet from Malabar to qualify in the high school category. He is also the second NCC cadet from Vazhakkad High School to achieve this historic feat. A few years ago, cadet Abila Krishna had also attained this distinction.
Navaneeth is the son of Suresh Kumar and Lissy of Ananthayoor Chola. His sister Nivedya was also previously an NCC cadet at the same school.
