കൊണ്ടോട്ടി: നഗരസഭയുടെ ഭീമമായ ഫണ്ട് വിനിയോഗിച്ച് നിർമ്മിച്ചിട്ടും വർഷങ്ങളായി തുറന്ന് കൊടുക്കാതെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്കെതിരെ എൽ.ഡി.എഫ്. കൊണ്ടോട്ടി നഗരസഭയ്ക്ക് റീത് വണ്ടി സമരം നടത്തി. കൊണ്ടോട്ടി മുനിസിപ്പൽ എൽ.ഡി.എഫ്. കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലായിരുന്നു പ്രതിഷേധം.
സിപിഐഎം ഏരിയ സെക്രട്ടറി പി.കെ. മോഹൻദാസ് റീത് വണ്ടി ജാഥ ഫ്ലാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്തു. സിപിഐ മണ്ഡലം സെക്രട്ടറി അഡ്വ. കെ.കെ. സമദ് സമരം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.
1.47 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവഴിച്ച് പുനരുദ്ധാരണം നടത്തിയ ബസ്റ്റാൻഡ് ഇതുവരെ പ്രവർത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. വനിതാവിശ്രമ കേന്ദ്രം, മുസ്ലിയാരങ്ങാടി നഗരാരോഗ്യ കേന്ദ്രം, തുറക്കൽ ചെമ്മലപ്പറമ്പ് പകൽവീട്, വനിതാ ഹോസ്റ്റൽ, ബഡ്സ് സ്കൂൾ എന്നിവ നിർമാണം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയിട്ടും തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കാത്ത അവസ്ഥയിലാണ്. ഏകദേശം ഒന്നരക്കോടിയോളം രൂപ ചിലവഴിച്ചിട്ടും നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഇതിൽ നിന്ന് യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
പല സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും സാമൂഹ്യവിരുദ്ധരുടെ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഭരണ സമിതിയുടെ ഈ അനാസ്ഥയ്ക്കെതിരെയാണു എൽ.ഡി.എഫ്. സമരം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചതെന്ന് നേതാക്കൾ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

LDF Stages Cart Protest Against Kondotty Municipality
Kondotty: The LDF staged a cart protest against Kondotty Municipality for failing to open institutions constructed with huge municipal funds, which have remained closed for years. The protest was organized under the leadership of the Kondotty Municipal LDF Committee.
CPI(M) Area Secretary P.K. Mohandas flagged off the cart rally, while CPI Mandalam Secretary Adv. K.K. Samad inaugurated the protest.
Although ₹1.47 crore was spent on the renovation of the bus stand, it has not yet been made operational. Likewise, the Women’s Rest Center, Musliyarangadi Urban Health Center, Thurakkal Chemmalaparambu Day Care Center, Women’s Hostel, and Buds School have all been completed at a cost of around ₹1.5 crore, yet none have been opened to the public.
Local residents have gained no benefit from these projects, and many of the buildings have instead turned into hubs for anti-social activities. The LDF leaders stated that the protest was against this negligence of the municipal governing body.
