എളമരം : കോഴിക്കോട് – മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലകളെ ബന്ധിപ്പിച്ച് ചാലിയാറിന് കുറുകെ നിർമിച്ച എളമരംകടവ് പാലത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ച അലങ്കാരവിളക്കുകൾ കത്തിക്കുന്നതിന് അടിയന്തര നടപടി സ്വീക രിക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് സിപിഐഎം എളമരം ബ്രഞ്ച് കമ്മറ്റിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷേധ കൂട്ടായ്മ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.
വിളക്കുകൾ അണഞ്ഞിട്ട് മാ സങ്ങളായി. കടവ് പാലം പൂർണമായും ഇരുട്ടിലാണ്. യുഡിഎഫ് ഭരിക്കുന്ന വാഴക്കാട് പഞ്ചായത്ത് ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ അനാസ്ഥയാണ് എളമരംകടവ് പാലത്തെ ഇരുട്ടിലാക്കിയത്. വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ധാരാളം സന്ദർശകർ ദിവസവും ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. വെളിച്ചമില്ലാതെ ഇവർ ബുദ്ധി മുട്ടുകയാണ്. പാലത്തിന്മേൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ച മുപ്പതോളം വിളക്കുകളും കത്തുന്നില്ല. പ്രതിവർഷ

Elamaramkadavu Bridge in Darkness: CPI(M) Organizes Protest Gathering
Elamaram: The CPI(M) organized a protest gathering demanding urgent action to restore the decorative lights on the Elamaramkadavu Bridge, which connects the Kozhikode and Malappuram districts across the Chaliyar River.
The lights have been off for several months, leaving the entire bridge in darkness. The protestors blamed the negligence of the Vazhakkad Panchayat, governed by the UDF, for plunging the bridge into darkness.
Every day, a large number of visitors arrive at this location, and the lack of lighting is causing significant inconvenience. Around thirty lights installed on the bridge are currently non-functional. The protestors demanded that the lights be included in the annual maintenance works and be restored promptly.
The protest gathering organized by the CPI(M) was inaugurated by Edavannappara local secretary V. Rajagopalan Master. Shahil presided over the meeting. Salam Elamaram, A.P. Mohandas, C. Bhaskaran Master, Panakkal Kunhammad, and Sadashivan addressed the gathering. Chandrasekharan delivered the vote of thanks.
